Bor Tiger Reserve – Tiger Safari Guide in Maharashtra

About Bor Tiger Reserve

Bor Tiger Reserve is one of the newest tiger reserves in Maharashtra, located near Wardha district. It was declared a tiger reserve in 2014 and plays an important role in the Central India tiger corridor.

Because of its strategic location, it connects major reserves like Tadoba, Pench, and Melghat. As a result, this area supports natural tiger movement across landscapes.

Why Visit Bor Tiger Reserve?

This reserve offers a peaceful and less crowded safari experience compared to popular parks. In addition, the forest landscape consists of dry deciduous trees and open grasslands, which improves visibility.

Moreover, visitors can spot animals like leopards, sloth bears, deer, and various bird species.

Safari Experience in Bor

The safari experience here is calm and ideal for nature lovers. Unlike crowded parks, this destination allows you to enjoy the jungle without heavy tourist pressure.

During the safari, guides help track wildlife movement and explain forest behavior. As a result, even if tiger sightings are rare, the overall jungle experience remains rewarding.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is between October and June. However, summer months offer better chances of wildlife sightings.

On the other hand, winter provides a comfortable climate and is suitable for birdwatching.
